My name is Reilly Renée Farris. I was
raised in Michigan, but Manhattan is the only place that will ever truly hold
my heart. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been in love with fashion. To
me, there is no better feeling than slipping into a pretty little cocktail
dress, stepping into a pair of stilettos, putting on a red pout, and strutting
out the door. Fashion makes people feel beautiful and confident, and because of
that, I believe there is truly no better art form.
I intend to pay
tribute to my passion for fashion on this blog. There will be my reviews of new
designer lines and upcoming trends, as well as reviews of beauty products I’ve
tried firsthand, and outfit suggestions I’ve put together that follow trend,
while staying affordable. I strongly believe in the power of what I like to
call a “fashion epiphany”. A fashion epiphany is the moment you put an outfit
on, and something clicks, and right in the mirror in front of you, you feel the
garments on your body transform you into a fierce and confident badass. Fashion
is truly that powerful.
My personal style
is very feminine, with a very strong urban influence from New York City style,
and a touch of grunge. That being said, I hope to touch on all the fashion
bases at some point in this blog, and will be making adjustments as I go. I’m
just getting started, but I hope this is only the beginning of what will be a
long-term relationship between the fashion world and I.
Though I know
there are thousands of fashion blogs out there, I’m striving to create a
revolutionary blog that makes a connection between the high fashion world of Upper
East Side Manhattan and the average twenty-something trendsetter on a budget.
